Account & Data Deletion
This page explains how users of the gigZee mobile application can request deletion of their account and associated personal data. It is intended to satisfy Google Play account deletion disclosure requirements.
Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the gigZee app and sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
This action calls our account-deletion API and permanently removes the signed-in account. It cannot be undone.
Delete by email (if you cannot access the app)
- Send an email to support@gigze.app.
- Use the subject line: Account deletion request.
- Include the email address registered on your gigZee account.
- Send the request from that same email address when possible so we can verify ownership.
We aim to process verified email deletion requests within 30 days.
What is deleted
When an account is deleted through the in-app flow, gigZee currently removes:
- Your user account record (including email / name associated with the account)
- Musician and organizer profile data
- Your posts, and likes/comments associated with those posts
- Comments and likes you created on other posts
- Gigs you organized and related applications, plus applications you submitted
- Bands, equipment listings, studios, and lessons you own/created
- Follow relationships involving your account
- Reviews you wrote or that target your account
- Direct messages you sent or received
- Push notification device tokens and notification preferences / inbox items for your account
What may remain
- Limited analytics or operational logs that are not fully tied to a deletable account object may remain for a period for security, debugging, or aggregate metrics unless separately removed or anonymized.
- Content that other users independently created about public activity may remain only where it is not part of the cascaded deletion set above.
- Information we are legally required to retain may be kept for the required period.
After deletion
You will no longer be able to sign in with the deleted account. If you want to use gigZee again, you will need to create a new account.
